1. General provisions
- These Terms of Service govern the use of the Sibot Academy educational service available at sibotacademy.pl.
- The service provider is Szymon Sznajder, operator of the Sibot Academy educational service (sibotacademy.pl). Contact: kontakt@sibotacademy.pl.
- Sibot Academy is an educational platform offering interactive lessons and quizzes about artificial intelligence, designed for children aged 7 and above, operating under a parent-first model (the account is created by the parent or legal guardian).
- Using the service constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
- Lesson content available in the service is created with the help of artificial intelligence tools and verified by the Operator. This is in accordance with EU AI Act transparency requirements (Article 50 of Regulation 2024/1689).
2. Definitions
- Operator โ Szymon Sznajder, operator of the Sibot Academy service (sibotacademy.pl).
- User โ any person using the service; the contracting party is exclusively the parent or legal guardian.
- Parent โ an adult parent or legal guardian who creates an account and enters into a contract with the Operator.
- Child โ a minor user of the service (aged 7+) using it as an authorised user within the parent's account.
- Child profile โ a user account created by the Parent for the Child.
- Service โ the interactive Sibot Academy educational platform, accessible via a web browser.
- Quiz / Lesson โ an interactive educational task available within the service.
- Certificate / Badge โ a digital record of completing a stage or lesson, issued for motivational purposes only. Certificates are not official documents, are not recognised by external educational institutions, and do not replace any official school certificates.
3. Access and use conditions
3.1 Who may use the service
- The Sibot Academy service may be used by children aged 7 and above, exclusively within an account created by a parent or legal guardian.
- Children under 13 do not have the legal capacity to enter into contracts. The contracting party and account holder is exclusively the Parent.
- The Parent declares that they are the parent or legal guardian of the child, have read and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and consent to the processing of the child's data to the extent necessary to provide the service.
3.2 Technical requirements
To use the service, the following are required:
- An up-to-date web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge โ current versions).
- Internet access.
- Cookies enabled (at least essential cookies).
- Access to an HTTPS-encrypted connection (handled automatically by the browser).
3.3 Registration and account
- Registration is possible by providing an email address and password, or by using a supported OAuth provider.
- The Parent is responsible for keeping the password confidential and providing accurate information.
- One parent may create one or more child profiles.
- The Operator may suspend or delete an account in the event of a breach of these Terms.
4. Scope of services
Within Sibot Academy, the Parent and Child may use:
- Interactive quizzes and educational lessons about artificial intelligence.
- The progress system โ recording completed lessons, stars, and results.
- The parent dashboard โ viewing the child's progress and managing profile settings.
- Educational materials available under the chosen plan.
5. Safety rules and prohibited content
5.1 Prohibition of unlawful content
It is prohibited to submit content that is:
- unlawful or in breach of applicable law,
- offensive, abusive, or harmful to other users,
- containing personal data of third parties without their consent,
- capable of threatening the security of the service or other users.
5.2 Content moderation
The service applies automatic server-side moderation for all content entered by users (including children). The system:
- Detects and blocks personal data entered by the child (name and surname, address, phone number, etc.).
- Blocks content that does not comply with the service's safe-use rules.
- Does not redisplay blocked content.
- Guides the child to a safe alternative (pre-set cards or a short form).
6. Rights and obligations of the Operator
The Operator undertakes to:
- Provide the service with due care.
- Inform users of planned maintenance periods with reasonable notice.
- Protect personal data in accordance with GDPR and the Privacy Policy.
- Respond to security reports within 72 hours.
The Operator reserves the right to:
- Temporarily suspend the service for technical maintenance.
- Change the scope or features of the service (with appropriate notice).
- Delete accounts that breach these Terms.
7. Liability
- The Operator is not liable for: interruptions to the service caused by external factors (e.g. infrastructure failures); content submitted by users that bypassed the moderation system; consequences of using the service in breach of these Terms.
- The Operator applies a liability cap equal to the amount paid for the service during the period in which the loss occurred.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits consumer rights under mandatory applicable law.
8. Online safety information
We inform users about the risks associated with using online services:
- Risk of privacy breach through inadvertent disclosure of personal data โ which is why we apply moderation and teach children about this risk.
- Risk of exposure to inappropriate content โ which is why the service does not offer open chat and uses controlled activity types.
- Risk of excessive technology use โ we recommend that parents set screen time limits.
- Risk of misinformation โ which is why Sibot Academy teaches children that AI can be wrong and that information needs to be verified.
9. Payments
- Sibot Academy may offer a free plan and paid plans (subscription).
- The contracting party for payments is exclusively the Parent (an adult user).
- Detailed pricing and plan details are available at sibotacademy.pl/en/pricing.
- Payments are processed through a trusted payment provider. Card details are not stored by the Operator.
- The Parent has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion, unless the service was started with the Parent's express consent before that period expires.
10. Complaints
- Complaints may be submitted by email to: kontakt@sibotacademy.pl with the subject line: "Complaint โ Sibot Academy".
- A complaint should include: a description of the issue, the email address of the parent account, and the date and description of the event.
- The Operator will handle the complaint within 14 business days and send a response to the email address provided.
- If the complaint is not upheld, the Parent may use alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, including the EU ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
11. Marketing communications
- The Operator sends commercial communications only to Parents who have given separate, voluntary consent to receive them (opt-in).
- Children are not recipients of any marketing communications.
- Consent to marketing may be withdrawn at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in an email or changing settings in the account panel.
12. Termination and account deletion
- The Parent may delete the account and all associated child profiles at any time through the account panel or by contacting the Operator at kontakt@sibotacademy.pl.
- Upon account deletion, data is removed in accordance with the Privacy Policy (except data that must be retained under applicable law).
- The Operator may delete an account that breaches these Terms after notifying the Parent with 7 days' notice (unless the breach requires immediate action for safety reasons).
13. Digital accessibility
The Operator strives to ensure the digital accessibility of the service in accordance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines. Accessibility information is available at sibotacademy.pl/en/accessibility.
14. Changes to these Terms
- The Operator reserves the right to amend these Terms.
- Parents will be notified of significant changes with at least 14 days' notice via email or an in-app message.
- Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If the Parent does not accept the changes, they may delete the account before the new Terms come into force.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
- These Terms are governed by EU law, including the GDPR and DSA where applicable. For consumers, mandatory local consumer protection law also applies.
- Disputes shall be resolved by a competent court, unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
- Consumers have the right to use alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, including the EU ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
16. Final provisions
- These Terms take effect on 1 April 2026.
- If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
- Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by applicable EU and national consumer law.
